Let politician stop going to churches to look for votes but instead pray for peace

Let politician stop going to churches to look for votes but instead pray for peace

A friend of mine from Tanzania on WhatsApp told me that she has read in the news that Kenya's campaign has really heated up. Yes, Kenya's campaign has reached fever pitch and has become so hot that a day hardly passes when we hear news report that in this and that county fighting  broke out between candidates for particular seat. Already some people have lost their lives while others have been injured. lt seems the incumbent of various seats are fighting tooth and nail to retain their seats by hook or crook. My maid has told me that during elections, she will go to back to her rural home because she fears that there will be violence. Can Kenyan's be trusted to do a peaceful election? Ugandans neighbours are going back to their country untill the end of elections. Will Kenya come to a standstill until elections end? This is very bad for the economy and it portends that the coming months may be much worse. Let these candidates who visit churches on Sunday, instead of going to woo voters, preach peace in all their meetings so that violence stops. Bishop of Mombasa catholic Diocese Most rev Martin kivuva has also asked politicians to preach peace for the sake of the country. Kenyans have come from far, that after the elections they will be forced to start rebuilding their lives and their country afresh from the scratch. For how long will Kenyans be fighting after every 5 years during elections ? This has to stop once and for all. Enough is enough! It is an irresponsible adult that creates enmity because of a disagreement that arises between two children!
