12.9 million payout to M P's and senators should be stopped

The budget was read the other day but inflation has hit 10.28 per cent in march up from 9.04 per cent in February. This is the highest rate since may 2012, the Kenya National Bureau of statistics (KNBS) data shows. Kenya has been affected by the drought situation and Red cross sent appeal to individuals and companies to donate food,water and clothing to the affected people. Then news that Treasury has cleared the way for M P's to award themselves sh 2.5 billion for eight months of no work is not only baffling,shocking and to say the least mind boggling. If that is the length of time the MP's five years term will be cut short  by the general elections, won't the MCA's and Governors demand for the same and make Kenya bankrupt? We are just recovering from the doctors  and lecturers strike and the bone of contention was money. Why is Treasury selective? Why reward MP's  and not doctors who devote their time treating Kenyans? The allocation of employing new teachers is a drop in the ocean. This 12.9 million for 349 members of the National Assembly and 62 members of senate should be stopped by Kenyans. Allocation of cancer patient is just 700 million  enough to treat 200 patients per year while there are over 500 patients who need treatment. Medicine is very expensive. This money for each M P is enough to build ten schools and one hospital and buy medicine. Are Kenya's budget  priorities right. Many people are sliding in poverty because they cannot afford basic foodstuff. Schools need more teachers. Roads are not good and the drought has not ended. For the first three months business people have complained that there is no money in circulation and businesses are at standstill. Let Kenyans stop the award of 12.9 million for MP's and senators.
