Lack of proper communication makes Kenyan miss crucial information

There are two main people who are tasked with giving the public crucial information but because of lack of training, the information is not delivered fluently. The first person is the policeman who gives information on the site of accidents, shootouts or murder. When newsmen ask for information on what happened, the person who is tasked in giving proper information is the policeman. But because of lack of training in communication, the uniformed officials end up mumbling incoherent words or sometimes broken English on TV or radio. Let the National police service commission sponsor OCS and commanders to train in English speaking (language) to improve their communication skills. Hitherto our sportsmen and women are always winning events some abroad but when they are interviewed they cannot express themselves fluently. Let them coordinate with universities when they are in training to offer communication courses at affordable prices which can also include public speaking skills. The program can also be offered at their training base. What they say is news and it inspire others.
