This program is harmful to children and the society

Programs on T V are there to pass information, educate and entertain etc But there is a program in KBC TV which is aired after news till 9.00 pm news called "behind closed doors" which does not add value to African culture. ln this program there is always a murder,a kidnappings,death,lies,abductions,fraud,torture,deception etc How do the program editors who chose this program expect the program to add values to young children and the society,with its violence in nature? In one scene a man is asked to shoot himself in the mouth and he does it,and viewers are shown blood spattered on the wall. This is disgusting.In another scene three adult children are called to be told that the man they had known as their father is not their father ! Let them look for programs which are Kenyan eg like machachari,vitimbi,vioja mahakamani,moyo,Tahidi,housewives,mother-in law etc Such programs are Kenyan owned and they educate,entertain, and inform the society. Every year we have music and drama festivals every term and they produce the best scripts in each county. Why does KBC not buy these videos from the organizers so that they can be shown on T V and boost financially the schools which go to great length to produce the best costumes and scripts. This will be like buying Kenya building Kenya. Also programs from Mombasa are good and entertaining. Alternatively,Tanzanian programs are also good and have lessons in them. They can choose good programs which are not violent in nature. ln the late 80' we had programs like "The million dollar man" who used to jump from roof tops and many children got hurt when they tried these stunts.Some programs used to be enjoyed by the whole family that parents named the lead actor names of their children eg "no one but you" . Programs shown on T V impact on the young children lives negatively or positively according to the theme of the program and if violent in nature influence their future negatively. Let this program be withdrawn.
