Can our leaders be the salt and the light of the world?

Before the Members of Parliament leave Parliament they have awarded themselves millions in retirement benefits leaving Kenyans shocked. During this time Kenyans are experiencing lack of water,lack of food and high prices of commodities and myriads of problems. We have seen people who are starving  and animals are dying. This is the time members of Parliament would have voted  for funds to distribute food and water to starving communities. The leave the feeding of starving communities to Red cross who end up begging Kenyans for money. Also they would have voted for the reduction of prices of food. That is not what our M P's are planning for Kenyans. Kenyan leaders cannot be the light and the salt of Kenya. Can they shine from far ? No. Can they help the poor and those not able to get food? No. The bible has very good lessons our leaders should learn,but when they appear in church it is to politic. They were the salt and the light of the world but their salt has lost its taste while their light is dim. Why are they heaping for themselves a lot of wealth which will not take them anywhere. In the Bible it says that if the salt lose its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is good for nothing any more but to be cast out, and to be trodden on by men. That is what Kenyans will do to those leaders come August.
