Most adverts stereotype women
There is an advert about different colors of roofing mabati. But the surprising thing, is the different colors of the roofing mabati to the men it symbolizes the more women a man should have. Another advert, a singer sings how a woman stole his chicken and eggs. This stereotype do not end there. Most adverts have pictures of a women in order to sell their merchandise and those women are semi-nude. Some women in those pictures are either naked or semi nude. Comedian like jokes on women that suggest romance, sexual innuendo and embarrassing bodily descriptions and demonstrations about women. A casual walk around, l met some men discussing young girls and their bodies. One man who looked like a pedophile was telling others that what he just needed was to give a girl anti-worms medicine and the girl becomes his, when he saw a group of girls passby.Although some cultures in Kenya women have no voice, a lot of changes have happened. Kenyan men need education on the rights of women and the way they should view women not as objects but as human beings who need respect, love and compassion.
