We have 42 tribes in kenya but with 47 counties.Busia county has seven elected constituencies namely Nambale constituency, Butula constituency, Funyula constituency, budalangi constituency, matayos constituency, Teso North constituency, and Teso south constituency.Some counties have more than one tribe with two or more governors. In Busia they were shortchanged as four subtribes have one governor. Busia county is composed of four subtribe namely Teso,Marachi,manyala and Samia. lt was good for governor Ojaamong to be the first governor of Busia and he did his best in development and now it is now a chance for Busia people and other subtribe to elect another governor from the other three sub tribes. The governor should not defend his seat in the 2017 election for the sake of the community’s unity. Similar forms of so-called negotiated democracy appears to be taking shape in Migori,Garissa, Wajir and Marsabit counties, sparking heated debate as leaders take different positions. Already Governor Ojaamong has told off the Busia professional Association (Bupa) over their survey that ranked him number two choice. Vincent Sidal is the preferred governor according to the survey with 35.1 per cent  that ranked Ojaamong  number two with 28.4 per cent,Paul otuoma 11.8 per cent,Lucas Meso 11.4 per cent,Daniel barasa 4.1 per cent and Humphrey Nakitare 1.24 per cent. ln some parts of Busia county they have never seen piped water while in wajir county  piped water was commissioned there recently. Some roads have never seen tarmac and only one hospital has been serving the people of Busia since time memorial Nangina mission hospital. ln other counties there is a program where group of residents are given a cow and this cow is nurtured to give birth and in the end the whole group will have a cow each. Such programs are missing in the rural areas and most farmers if their crops fail they are faced with starvation. Those elected should  start projects which favour women,youth and children. It is a high time another governor is elected so that we can compare the difference in management and leadership styles of the two.
