WHAT DOES KENYAN POLITICIAN GO TO DO IN CHURCH?

 

It is a pity that Kenyan politician go to churches to declare their candidature in politics, make a joint statement, escort people who want to contest or be seen in the news that they went to certain churches etc. This week it was worse as two candidates vying for the same seat met in a church and started throwing barbs against one another in church while the congregation laughed. There are particular churches these politician frequent in which they are allowed to greet the congregation (campaign) in church. What these politicians are doing is not good before God. That is why politician and the common people are separated by beatitudes which say that blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven. Politicians are not among those mentioned in the beatitudes. Let politician mock churches by going to campaign inside them as God sees what they do and is not happy because they don't go to seek God but want votes from the congregation. Blessings will never come their way.
