WHAT DOES KENYAN POLITICIAN GO TO DO IN CHURCH?

WHAT DOES KENYAN POLITICIAN GO TO DO IN CHURCH?   It is a pity that Kenyan politician go to churches to declare their candidature in politics, make a joint statement, escort people who want to contest or be seen in the news that they went to certain churches etc. This week it was worse as two candidates vying for the same seat met in a church and started throwing barbs against one another in church while the congregation laughed. There are particular churches these politician frequent in which they are allowed to greet the congregation (campaign) in church. What these politicians are doing is not good before God. That is why politician and the common people are separated by beatitudes which say that blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed

2017 elections will have the highest number of election losers

2017 elections will have the highest number of election losers Kenyan elections are around the corner and every politician is positioning him/herself for plumb  political positions. The seat which has attracted most contenders is the governor's seat.We have seen M P's,senators, women rep and other Kenyans declare their candidature, all crowding around the seat of governor. If one seat is contested by over 7 politician who are either M P's or senator or women rep this means that Kenya will have very many political casualties. Many politicians will lose their seats while they left their senatorial,M P and women rep seats to vie for governorship while their seats have no competition. Some seats like senator and women rep have attracted very few contestants or even non.Let us have academies which will teach politician the benefit  and value of every political seat in Kenya and how a politician can be useful in any seat not necessarily a governors seat. A governors seat attract mor

LET PASTORALISTS PLANT TREES ON THE ONSET OF RAIN

LET PASTORALISTS PLANT TREES ON THE ONSET OF RAIN According to a November 2016 report published by the National Drought Management Authority, pastoralists in arid regions have suffered huge losses. Many animals have died and that is what they depend on. There is climate change and pastoralists and livestock keepers are most affected by climate change. Those living in arid and semi arid areas should learn to appreciate whenever it rains.ln order to appreciate when it rainfall pastoralists should plant trees which grow quickly as well as those which grow in the Arid and semi Arid areas. Trees will give them shed, trees will attract rain and excess carbon dioxide (CO2) caused by many factors is a building up in our atmosphere and contributing to climate change. Trees absorb CO2, removing and storing the carbon while releasing the oxygen back into the air. Trees provide shelter and habitat for wildlife; trees absorb dust, wind and increase property value. Trees bring beauty and in some co

Rural transport is a health hazard and very expensive

Image
Rural transport is a health hazard and very expensive I was in one of the rural area counties over December holidays and l observed  that there is transport crisis. Border borders are mostly the ones used to transport people from interior and also where there are existing roads. Most people in the rural areas are served by probox vehicles and Peugeot boxboard vehicles. A place where three people should occupy a seat they squeeze in four people. ln front seat where one person sits, they place three people causing the driver not to access gears. ln towns we access better and clean transport and we take it for granted. ln the rural areas there is a danger of breaking your bones in the name of being squeezed to a sitting position. Dangers of people in the rural areas being deformed, being involved in accidents and contracting airborne diseases from one another is high as mothers and son-in-laws,daughters and father-in-laws are forced to sit very close to one another which is a taboo and ag

Both parents should be jailed when a child is neglected

Image
Both parents should be jailed when a child is neglected     A Nanyuki high court has upheld a three-year jail term handed to a woman  for neglecting her child suffering from cerebral palsy. The lady pleaded with the court that she had changed her ways without success. While sentencing her the judge noted that 'A mother of a special' child is expected to take special care of her child dismissing her appeal. When she was being sentenced there was no mention of where her husband was ? A child is a result of union of two people how come this law does not consider men as parents? Let this law be amended so that both parents are arrested in case of neglecting their children. The child needs care and sentencing the mother to 3 years means that this child will be taken to a home to be looked at. For the court to help the woman, she should have been given an outside sentencing where she should have been reporting to the chief every week and continued looking af

UNIVERSITIES SHOULD START COURSES IN POLITICAL EDUCATION

Image
UNIVERSITIES SHOULD START COURSES IN POLITICAL EDUCATION   Kenyans will have to put up with politicians, campaigns and voter education from now on till August 2017.During 2016 KCSE 88,929 student scored C plus and above in the form four national examinations and will be the only ones to join public universities. 295,463 students scored D and cannot get a chance in any university. This means that the candidates will now have to scramble for limited slots in vocational training institutes with another 200,000 who missed slots in Form One for artisan courses such as carpentry and masonry etc It is a high time universities plucked these low lying hanging fruits by designing courses for politician in political education. Politics sells in Kenya. Such courses may range for three months or 1 year to 2 years certificate leading to a diploma, degree, masters and even a PHD. These courses will be specifically designed for those vying to be MCA's, Senators, MP’s and Governors. These

MARRIED MEN SHOULD LEAVE THEIR WIVES TO DECIDE WHOM TO VOTE FOR IN AUGUST 2017 ELECTIONS

MARRIED MEN SHOULD LEAVE THEIR WIVES TO DECIDE WHOM TO VOTE FOR IN AUGUST 2017 ELECTIONS   Some passengers were in a matatu and one of them commented that one presidential candidate was visiting their area that week and his banner had already been displayed. Then another one asked him if his choice of president was the same as that one of his wife. That is when a heated debate ensued in the matatu and everyone started participating. The man categorically stated that his choice of president must be the choice his wife will take. Many people were shocked that some men threaten their wives with divorce should they vote contrary to their choice of candidates. That matters were made worse by nomadic people who move around with their animals carrying with them their wives ID's and voters cards, causing very few people to register during this time of registration. Some men go to the extent of following their wives in polling stations in the pretext that their wives cannot r
