This rise of prices of essential commodities and retrenchment is a suspect

Never in the history of Kenya has maize meal and sugar prices has ever reached the level they are now. This week sugar is 160/- while maize meal is 145/- potatoes 100/- while tomatoes and onions have tripled in prices to name but a few. Why are the prices of commodities gone so high during this electioneering period? Many Kenyans are sleeping hungry as they cannot afford the basic commodities. Surprisingly MP mwaura said  that he used 29 million in his campaign while aspirant women rep passaris also claimed she used 10 million and these are just two of the recent contestants in the party nominations, how much was used by other contestants in this campaign ? Has this campaign resulted in the high prices of commodities? This problem of high rise of commodities was a subject of discussions during the labour day  celebration by Mr Atwoli,sonko and governor kidero. Why has no action been taken? A while ago there was a promise that maize prices will be reduced and Kenyans have waited in vain. Companies have also taken advantage of this confusion to say that they are retrenching,why are they doing it during this period when the  government is wooing people to vote for them again? These and many questions need urgent answers because many people have noticed that theft of small commodities like phones,handbags,household items has suddenly been on the increase. Let someone do something prompto.
