 Let Mombasa County pick low hanging fruits in tourism


Kenya Secondary school Principals always have their yearly conference in Mombasa.This involves all Principals in Kenya.There are very many Principals who visit Mombasa County with friends and relatives and it is a high time Mombasa County made some changes.Let the town be made clean and sparkling.Let street lights from the area around Elephant tusks and​ up to Cannon towers in Moi avenue towards the port be installed with street lights.At night it is in darkness and this can attract insecurity.Many residents fear walking at night because of lack of street lights.With the coming visitors, who will come with their friends, let Mombasa County look beautiful and attractive.Mombasa County can sponsor traders who can sell curio shells,lessos,vitenge,bangles,wood carvings,coconut and it's products etc
Apart from promoting the traders, the County can earn revenue.Let the beaches have mobile toilets as there are no toilets in the beaches.Let T-shirts depicting Mombasa and its environ be printed and sold to bring back the lost glory.Those who visit Mombasa would like to enjoy their stay and get value for their money.Those who offer studios or A BnB be offered advertising space so that visitors can choose the best place to stay.Matatus,tuktuk,bodabodas should be educated on handling visitors and be used to promote Mombasa County.Security should also be enhanced and be beefed up.
