Let us set aside a reconciliation and healing day

Let us set aside a reconciliation and healing day

During a homily a priest in a kitale County  narrated how he went to the local prison with the bishop to pray together with those in jail. The birth of Jesus Christ brings salvation, redemption, liberation, love, peace, progress, joy, good health, restoration, fruitfulness, fulfillment and divine prosperity. Out of an estimate of 2000 prisoners, around 200 comprised of elderly men and women, but the majority were young men and women. They were aged between 18 years to around 45 years of age. This is also happening in all prisons in Kenya. What is wrong with young people? Why are they the majority in law breaking? There  have been reports of men and women killing  their spouses out of anger and a lot of anger management need to be done in Kenya. We have very many days we have dedicated to fathers day, mothers day,Aids day, environmental day, water day,African child day etc But we do not have a reconciliation day. We should also think of the humans who commemorate these days. Let such a day be started here in Kenya in our stadiums and worship places as it will heal neighbours, families, friends, politicians, relatives,in churches,colleagues/workmates etc We can do it consistently like after 6 months and live in harmony. This way the work of Ole kaparo will be made easier. He will be attending these reconciliations as people will he forgiving one another, forge tolerance and Kenya will catapulted ahead in form of peace, love and harmony. We will reduce the hostility of one another. I pray that 2018 will be that year.
