Where are the election pledges from elected officials

Where are the election pledges from elected officials? When politicians were campaigning for elective seats they promised heaven but not hell. They promised jobs for the youth, pay fees for everyone (free education), no maternity fees, good roads, piped water and any more. But employees who are mandated to run NYS work with aims of getting as much profit  out of NYS for themselv
